According to reports, the twin-engine, four-seater training aircraft departed from the Garg Aviation Training Centre in Kanpur at around 11:30 a.m. It was on a training flight to the local flying area.

There were two people on board the plane: a trainee pilot and an instructor. The deceased were identified as Sachin Bhatia, a resident of Gujarat, and Abhishek Pujari, a resident of Karnataka.

About 20 minutes into the flight, the plane crashed while returning to the training center. Initial reports indicate the plane lost control, but the exact cause of the crash is still unclear.
