West Bengal's Trinamool Congress on Wednesday attacked the makers of Kesari Chapter 2. They alleged that Bengali revolutionaries have been insulted in Akshay Kumar's film. He has tampered with history. Bengali revolutionaries had an invaluable contribution to the freedom struggle but this image has been tarnished in the film.

An FIR has been lodged against seven makers of Kesari Chapter 2 under several sections of the Indian Justice Code. The matter reached Bidhannagar South Police Station. At present, the controversy over the film seems to be increasing. Let us tell you that Kesari 2 was released on April 2, 2025. Now after two months, a controversy is arising over it.

How the controversy started over Kesari 2

The controversy over Akshay Kumar, Ananya Pandey, and R Madhavan's film started over a scene. Where the major freedom fighters of Bengal have been accused of being shown in a wrong way. Two names have also been taken especially among the Bengali revolutionaries, Khudiram Bose and Barindra Kumar Ghosh.

TMC says that in the film, Khudiram Bose has been shown as 'Khudiram Singh' and Barindra Kumar Ghosh as 'Barindra Kumar'. TMC leader Kunal Ghosh alleged that the makers deliberately tampered with history and showed both the famous tourists in the wrong way. This is a deep insult to Bengal.

Mamata Banerjee also reacted

In this matter, the reaction of West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has also come to the fore, who attacked the filmmakers without naming any film. She said that they have deliberately tried to underestimate the contribution of Bengali revolutionaries. This is a collusion between the makers and the BJP.
