UP News: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has announced a major gift for the daughters of Uttar Pradesh. Under the scheme to provide free scooters to 50,000 girl students in Uttar Pradesh, beneficiaries will soon receive scooters, making their education and transportation easier.

UP News: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has announced a big gift for the daughters of Uttar Pradesh on Rakshabandhan. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has announced that 50,000 female undergraduate students of UP will be given scooties in October-November. CM Yogi made this announcement on Friday (August 28) at the launch program of 'Lokmata Ahilyabai Matrishakti Yatra' scheme organized at Indira Gandhi Pratishthan in Lucknow. CM Yogi said that the government always stands with the daughter from her birth till her education and even beyond.

He said, "We have made another arrangement. Earlier, it was a big task for us to organize this program on Rakshabandhan, now in October or November, we are going to provide a scooter to 50,000 daughters of the state who are pursuing graduation. We are also going to provide scooters to 50,000 daughters..."

CM Yogi further said, "Earlier there was an identity crisis in UP. Half the population had no security, no respect, no self-reliance, so our economic condition was bound to be bad. When UP remembers that period, it gives goosebumps. Somewhere there were riots, somewhere there was curfew, somewhere there was insecurity, somewhere there was disturbance, dishonesty and corruption in every scheme, but the wheel of Dharma changes. If there was disturbance at that time, then when the double engine government came to UP under the leadership of PM Modi, the disturbance was turned into a celebration, UP has been made healthy by freeing it from curfew and riot."

'Daughter at the heart of the plan'

The Chief Minister said, "Now the focus of every scheme is on daughters, half the population. Our first resolution was to provide a fear-free environment to the daughters of Uttar Pradesh. We will give them full opportunity to stand on their own confidence and I am happy that what we had said, we will guarantee the safety of daughters, it was not just physical security, it was mental security as well, health security. There are about 12.5 crore women in the state. The government is a partner in the journey of women's safety, respect, self-reliance and leadership. Our policy is that every daughter, sister and mother should feel self-reliant."

He said, "The double engine government has linked the journey of a daughter with an ecosystem from birth to education, security, employment, income and the flight of her dreams. Women are moving from kitchen to cheque, from cheque to business and from business to technology. In 2017, there were around 10 thousand women police personnel in the state, now the number has increased to 45 thousand. Recruitment of 20 percent women has been made mandatory in police recruitment. Recruitment is going on for 32 thousand posts, after which this number will increase to 50 thousand."

Free bus for the elderly

CM Yogi said that after this, all women over the age of 60 will be provided with free bus travel. Yogi said that when women's self-reliance and respect are discussed, the name of Lokmata Ahilyabai Holkar is invoked with reverence. He said that Ahilyabai was a symbol of courage and self-respect, hence the scheme is named after her. According to a statement, the Chief Minister said that Uttar Pradesh has a population of approximately 12.5 crore. The government is a partner in the journey of women's safety, respect, self-reliance, and leadership.

He stated that there will be no compromise on women's safety. The Chief Minister added that hostels for working women are being constructed in the name of Ahilyabai Holkar in Lucknow, Kanpur, Agra, Ghaziabad, Moradabad, Bareilly, Prayagraj, Ayodhya, Gorakhpur, Varanasi, and Jhansi. He added that each hostel will provide free accommodation for 500 working women.

Deployment of women beat police

The Chief Minister said that for the first time in the country, women beat police were deployed in Uttar Pradesh. He said that in 2017, there were 10,000 women police officers in Uttar Pradesh, but now this number has increased to 45,000. Yogi said that respect comes when a woman has a toilet in her home, electricity, smokeless fuel in her kitchen, tap water, direct money in her account, and the government stands by her in times of crisis.

He further said, "Toilet in every house was the basis of dignity of mothers and sisters. 'Ujjwala' not only provided relief from smoke but also freedom from lung diseases. Pucca houses provided security to families while Jal Jeevan Mission brought about a big change in the direction of time and labour. DBT removed middlemen and started giving money directly into the accounts of beneficiaries."
