UPI Payments Scam: UPI has brought a revolution in the world of digital payments, but along with this, cases of fraud are also increasing rapidly. Fraudsters are now adopting new tricks to trap people in their net. One such recent method is to cheat by posing as 'father's friend'.

In this scam, the scammers claim to be a friend of the victim's father and gain trust and obtain money or information. But recently a viral video has surprised everyone by bringing out the intelligence of a smart girl.

A new way of cheating by becoming 'father's friend'

In this new scam, scammers call a person and claim that they are their father's friend. To win trust, they send small amounts through UPI and then promise to send a bigger amount. After this, they ask the victim to return the money or ask for other information. Many people fall prey to this trap. But this time the story was different.

Girl's cleverness in viral video

In a viral video, a girl was seen chatting with a scammer who claimed to be her father's friend. The scammer claimed that he would send Rs 12,000 to her account via UPI. The girl replied, "I don't know. Papa hasn't told me anything." The scammer said, "He must be busy." Then he sent the first Rs 10. As soon as the notification came on the girl's screen, she immediately understood that it was fake.

After this, the scammer talked about sending Rs 10,000, but said that he sent Rs 20,000 by mistake and asked the girl to return Rs 18,000. He read out a number to which the money had to be sent. But the girl showed cleverness and edited the same bank message and sent it to the scammer with Rs 18,000. Seeing this, the scammer was surprised and said, "You got the money. I agree with you, son."
