Both engines are likely to fail

• In addition, an incorrect take-off flap configuration was also replicated, which makes it difficult for an aircraft to climb on one engine. Take-off flaps are adjustable surfaces mounted on the flight wing that help in climbing. Even in all these conditions, the plane took off with one engine in the simulation.
• From these situations, an attempt was made to understand that if both engines fail, the plane can crash. Pilots do not get training for a situation of both engine failure at an altitude of less than 400 feet. It is believed that at the altitude at which the Air India plane crashed, failure of both engines could be the reason for the accident.
• However, the preliminary report of the Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau is expected to come next week. Air India operates a large number of Dreamliner aircraft in its fleet. Obviously this report will be very important for the airline.
