“Lust Stories 3” has arrived on Netflix, and believe me, this 2-hour, 44-minute film features four stories that will blow your mind. You’ve likely seen many love movies, but this one is completely different. This film explores the meaning of lust in women’s lives from a woman’s perspective. The boldness is certainly there, but the makers have completely avoided vulgarity or cheap sensationalism. However, you should watch it alone with headphones on.
In this film, four directors have presented their own unique stories. Each character has a different character, age, and needs.
Know what was shown in which story
Vikramaditya Motwani:
When years of silence fill the relationship between husband and wife, what do women do with their desires? It’s often assumed that women have no sexual life or desires left, that children and the kitchen are their sole focus. But what is the reality? This story breaks that silence.

We’ve all heard plenty of stories about “wife swapping,” but here the situation is completely different—it’s even more so than “husband swapping.” The simplicity with which Konkona and Radhika portray the stifled desires of married women makes it seem like this is a story unfolding in a neighborhood.
Shakun Batra
Shakun Batra has captured the essence of that most strange and complicated relationship, where the decision to divorce has been made, but the lust remains unabated. The biggest question in this story of Ali Fazal and Radhika Madan is this: if there is so much hatred, then why are you getting closer? And when the intimacy is still the same, then why the insistence on separation? Who is right and who is wrong? Is it not love or is there no commitment? Shakun has portrayed this confusion so candidly that after watching it, it seems that this is the bitter truth of today’s modern breakups.

Kiran Rao
Set against the backdrop of Mumbai, Kiran Rao’s story shows how hasty decisions can turn lives upside down. Gurfateh Pirzada plays a double role as a drug dealer, and his chemistry with Sana Thampi is stellar. They meet by chance, and lust leads to a tumultuous relationship. But as the story unfolds, a powerful suspense unfolds. The twists and turns of their lustful addiction will leave them stunned.

Vishal Bhardwaj
The film’s best segment. Vishal Bhardwaj has completely redefined lust. Set against the backdrop of Hyderabad, the chemistry between real-life couple Aditi Rao Hydari and Siddharth is sizzling. Vishal’s signature style—dark, poetic, and Shakespearean—is on full display here. Aditi looks stunning on screen, and the song “Aaye Miyan Jhatpat, Gaye Miyan Fatfat” perfectly captures the mood of the story. This segment, playing with lust, is truly a masterpiece.

Why watch
The film is 2 hours and 44 minutes long, and the best part? Not a single storyline bores you, leaving you unable to take your eyes off the screen. The film is well worth watching. If you want to understand the complexities of unfulfilled desires and modern relationships, put on headphones and watch it in complete solitude.
