WhatsApp's most 'secret' feature: No one will be able to open your personal chat without your permission, learn how to use it

What is WhatsApp Chat Lock, and why is it so special?
With a standard app lock, when you give someone an unlocked phone, they can easily open your WhatsApp app. But with the Chat Lock feature:
Disappears from chat list: Your locked chat is completely hidden from the main screen (Inbox).
Privacy in notifications: When a new message arrives in a locked chat, the message text or sender's name doesn't appear on the screen. Only "WhatsApp: 1 New Message" appears.
Secret Code: You can set a secret code for your locked chats, which will reveal the hidden chat only when typed in the WhatsApp search bar.
How to Lock Any Chat on WhatsApp? (Step-by-Step Guide)
If you want to secure a specific chat, follow the simple steps below:
Step 1: First of all open WhatsApp on your smartphone.
Step 2: Tap on the chat you want to lock.
Step 3: Click on the name/profile icon of the person or group shown above.
Step 4: Scroll down and you will see the option of 'Chat Lock', tap on it.
Step 5: Turn on the toggle button for 'Lock this chat with fingerprint / Face ID'.
Step 6: Confirm your fingerprint or face lock. That's it! Your chat will be instantly protected.
How to view locked chats and set a 'Secret Code'?
To view chats: Pull down slightly from the top of your main chat screen. You'll see a 'Locked Chats' folder at the top. Tap it to provide your biometrics.
To set a Secret Code: Go inside the Locked Chats folder > Tap on Settings (Three Dots) > Select 'Secret Code' option and set your desired code (like a word or emoji).
After turning on this feature, even if your phone is in someone's hands, your personal conversations will always remain safe with 100% privacy!
