Patna News: On Thursday, four to five criminals entered a big private hospital in Patna and shot a patient. The person who was shot was the notorious criminal Chandan Mishra. The notorious Chandan Mishra of Buxar is accused in more than a dozen murder cases.

On Thursday, several criminals armed with weapons entered Paras Hospital, one of the biggest private hospitals in Patna, and shot a patient repeatedly. The person who was attacked was Chandan Mishra, a resident of Buxar. Chandan Mishra has been accused in more than a dozen murder cases. He had come out of jail on parole and was undergoing treatment at this private hospital in Patna. Patna SSP said that he was probably attacked in a gang war. The attack on Chandan Mishra has revived the famous murder case of Buxar in which lime trader Rajendra Kesari was killed. Chandan Mishra was also an accused in this murder case.

Buxar's lime trader Rajendra Kesari was accused in the murder case

On 21 August 2011, lime trader Rajendra Kesari was shot dead in Buxar for not paying extortion money. In this murder case, the family of the deceased made notorious criminals Sheru Singh and Chandan Mishra and some others accused and a case was registered against them. Chandan Mishra and Sheru were arrested from Bengal. When Sheru was presented in the court and the judge was giving the verdict, taking advantage of the opportunity, Sheru shot dead a policeman in the court itself and fled. Later he was caught by the Ara police. The district court had sentenced Omkarnath Singh alias Sheru to death. However, later the High Court stayed the execution. Chandan Mishra was sentenced to life imprisonment in the same murder case.

He was also accused in the jail worker murder case but was later acquitted

Earlier in 2011 itself, on May 4, a jail employee Haider Imam Warsi was murdered near Dhobighat. In this case too, Chandan Mishra and Sheru Singh were accused. In this case, the jailor had given a statement that both of them had threatened to kill him earlier through phone. But this could not be proved in the court. After which both were acquitted. However, due to other cases, they remained in jail.

There was terror of Sheru-Chandan gang, both were sent from Buxar to Bhagalpur jail

Sheru and Chandan had committed more than one and a half dozen criminal incidents between 2009 and 2012. The terror of Sheru-Chandan gang did not end even after their arrest. Chandan Mishra kept on getting many murders done even while being inside the jail. During the assembly elections, Sheru and Chandan Mishra were shifted from Buxar Central Jail to Bhagalpur Jail in August 2015. Keeping in view the security and elections, they were kept there even after the expiry of the period. So that they could not influence the voters by showing dominance over them.

The gang continued to run from jail

Later, many murders were committed outside the jail at the behest of Chandan Mishra who was in jail. Chandan Mishra's name also cropped up in the murder of Islam Mian in Buxar in 2015. After arresting the accused in this murder case, the then SP of Buxar Upendra Sharma had said that this gang belonged to Chandan Mishra and at whose behest these criminals carried out the incidents. Chandan Mishra had recently come out of jail on parole. Chandan Mishra, who had gone to get treatment at Paras Hospital in Patna, was gunned down by criminals. According to Patna SSP Kartikeya Sharma, he was probably shot in a gang war.
