Facts About Mahabharat: Why did Krishna not come to save Abhimanyu who was trapped in the Chakravyuh?
Facts About Mahabharat: The war of Mahabharata was not just a religious war, it was a divine play created by God in which the birth, life and death of every character was predetermined. There was a warrior in this war who became invincible at the age of only 16 - Arjun's son Abhimanyu . The biggest question that arises about Abhimanyu is that when he was trapped in the Chakravyuh and the Kauravas surrounded him, why did Lord Krishna , who is considered to be the incarnation of Narayan, not do anything to save him? The answer to this question is hidden not only in strategy, but in the divine plan and the story of the previous birth .
Chakravyuh and the bravery of Abhimanyu
Abhimanyu had learnt how to enter the Chakravyuh in the womb itself. When Shri Krishna was telling mother Subhadra about the formation and breaking of the Chakravyuh, the unborn Abhimanyu could only hear the method of entry because Subhadra had fallen asleep. As a result, Abhimanyu knew how to enter the Chakravyuh, but did not know how to get out of it.
During the Mahabharata war, when the Kauravas created a seven-gate Chakravyuh, Abhimanyu entered it without hesitation and displayed amazing valour. But the Kauravas, disregarding the rules, surrounded him and brutally killed him.
Then why did Shri Krishna not save him?
The answer to this question is found in a divine tale that relates to Varcha , the son of Lord Krishna and the Moon God . Varcha, a very brilliant and divine soul, wished to incarnate on earth so that he could help establish Dharma.
But his mother, Chandra , was worried that her son might get killed while participating in the war. She took a promise from Shri Krishna that her son would not stay in the war for too long and would return to heaven as soon as the war started.
Shri Krishna promised that he would soon call Varcha back to his world. This same Varcha was born on earth as Abhimanyu .
Abhimanyu's death: A pre-planned scheme
Abhimanyu's martyrdom was not just the death of a soldier, but it was the return of a divine soul. Shri Krishna kept his word, and Abhimanyu's death gave a new turn to the war. His martyrdom shook the Pandavas and enraged them from within. This anger ultimately led to the destruction of the Kauravas.
The story of Abhimanyu is not just the story of a brave warrior, but also the story of Dharma, promise and destiny . Shri Krishna knew everything, but he followed the limits of Dharma and promise. Abhimanyu's martyrdom proved that those who sacrifice for Dharma become immortal , and the tales of such heroes inspire people for ages.
