Xiaomi has officially unveiled its latest flagship smartphone series in the global market. The new lineup includes two premium models — Xiaomi 17 and Xiaomi 17 Ultra. The biggest highlight of the series is the Ultra variant’s massive 200MP periscope camera, which makes it especially attractive for mobile photography lovers. Both smartphones are powered by Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset and come loaded with top-end hardware. The Xiaomi 17 series is expected to launch in India very soon.

Price and Availability

Globally, the Xiaomi 17 has been launched at a starting price of EUR 999, which roughly converts to ₹1.07 lakh. It is available in Alpine Pink, Black, Ice Blue, and Venture Green colour options.

The more premium Xiaomi 17 Ultra is priced at EUR 1,499 (around ₹1.61 lakh) and comes in Black, Starlit Green, and White shades. Xiaomi has also introduced a dedicated photography kit alongside the Ultra model to further enhance the camera experience.

Display and Performance

The Xiaomi 17 Ultra features a large 6.9-inch 1.5K LTPO AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and Dragon Crystal Glass 3 protection. Under the hood, it is powered by the 3nm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, paired with 16GB LPDDR5x Ultra RAM and 512GB UFS 4.1 storage.

The device runs on HyperOS 3 based on Android 16 and offers top-tier durability with IP66, IP68, and IP69 water and dust resistance ratings.

Camera Capabilities

Photography is the key strength of the Xiaomi 17 Ultra. It comes with a Leica-tuned triple rear camera setup, which includes:
