Ranbir Kapoor’s upcoming film Ramayana is creating a buzz, especially after the recent release of its first look. Fans are excited to see Ranbir as Lord Ram and Yash as Raavan. The film is scheduled for release on Diwali 2026, and much of the attention will focus on Ranbir Kapoor’s performance since Yash’s role in the first part will be quite limited.
Yash, who plays Raavan, is not just acting but also co-producing Ramayana. Reports suggest that Yash has been paid around Rs 50 crore for his role in the first installment and is also involved in profit sharing.
Interestingly, Yash’s screen time in Ramayana Part 1 will be only about 15 minutes. This creative choice is meant to keep the spotlight on Lord Ram’s journey, focusing on key events up to the exile in Ayodhya. Yash’s character appears primarily in the early portion, building anticipation for his larger role in the sequel.
The makers seem to be creating suspense around Yash’s Raavan, especially after just a few frames in the first look created significant excitement. The second part of Ramayana is expected to release on Diwali 2027 with a massive budget of Rs 700 crore, while the combined budget of both parts is around Rs 1,600 crore.
Fans are eagerly waiting for Yash’s next appearances after KGF 2. His upcoming film Toxic has also revealed his new look, showcasing a different style. After that, Ramayana will mark his next big role as the iconic Raavan.
