You can hide your profile photo on WhatsApp from everyone or certain people, learn the easy way
WhatsApp has become a major tool in our daily communication these days. However, protecting our privacy has also become extremely important. Sometimes, we don't want everyone, such as strangers or certain contacts, to see our profile picture (DP).
With the privacy features provided in WhatsApp, you can easily decide who can see your profile photo and who can keep it hidden. Let's learn how to set it easily:
How to hide your profile photo on WhatsApp?
First, open WhatsApp on your phone.
Tap the 3-dot menu in the top right corner and go to Settings. (iPhone users should click the Settings option in the bottom right corner.)
After this, tap on the Account option and then select Privacy.
Now you will see the option of Profile Photo, tap on it.
You will get these 4 options:
Everyone: By selecting this, anyone having your WhatsApp number can see your profile photo.
My Contacts: By selecting this, only those people will be able to see your DP whose number is saved in your phone's contact list.
My Contacts Except...: Choose this option if you want to hide your profile photo from a specific person or select people. Tap on it to select the people you want to hide your photo from and click the 'Tick' mark below.
Nobody : By selecting this, your profile photo will not be visible to anyone.
To keep your privacy strong, check your settings from time to time and protect your profile photo by using the 'My Contacts Except...' option as needed.
