Young Bihar batsman Vaibhav Suryavanshi smashed a blistering 93 off 67 balls against Meghalaya in the Ranji Trophy. He played this powerful innings on the same day he was selected for the India A squad for the Rising Stars Asia Cup.
Bihar's young and sensational batsman Vaibhav Suryavanshi has continued his explosive form in the Ranji Trophy after recently being selected in the India A team. Playing against Meghalaya, Vaibhav caught everyone's attention with his aggressive innings of 93 runs off just 67 balls. During this innings, he hit nine fours and four towering sixes, however, he fell just seven runs short of his century, falling to Meghalaya spinner Bijon Dey at the score of 93.
Great performance, new record
At just 14 years old, Vaibhav Suryavanshi is constantly breaking major records. This year, while playing for Rajasthan Royals in the IPL, he made history by becoming the youngest centurion in men's T20 cricket, scoring 101 runs against Gujarat Titans. He also scored a century in the India Under-19 Youth Test against Australia A in Brisbane last month. He continues to score runs consistently and is in excellent form.
Opportunity in Rising Stars Asia Cup
Following this impressive performance in the Ranji Trophy, Vaibhav Suryavanshi will now be part of the India A team, captained by Jitesh Sharma, that will compete in the Rising Stars Asia Cup in Doha later this month. India A has been placed in Group B alongside Oman, UAE, and arch-rivals Pakistan A. The tournament runs from November 14 to 23. The team will play its first match against UAE on November 14, followed by an exciting clash against Pakistan A on November 16, where Vaibhav is expected to once again be in the spotlight.
Vaibhav, along with IPL star Priyansh Arya, has been included in the India A squad for the Rising Stars Asia Cup. This tournament will provide a golden opportunity for young Indian talent to make their mark on the international stage.
