There's important news for millions of central government employees and pensioners. An important meeting regarding the Eighth Pay Commission will be held today, scheduled for April 13th. Important discussions are expected to take place at the meeting regarding employees' salaries, fitment factors, and allowances. Meanwhile, the Eighth Pay Commission has been given 18 months to submit its recommendations. Actual salaries will be increased after these recommendations are implemented.

Today, April 13, 2026, the Drafting Committee of the National Council of Joint Consultative Machinery is holding an important meeting. A number of issues will be discussed. The meeting will take place at 11 a.m. at the JP Chaubey Memorial Library, AIRF office in Delhi. The meeting will take a final decision on the joint statement prepared by employees' and pensioners' organizations. This will include proposals for pay scales, annual pay increments, allowances, and other benefits.

The government has indicated that the Eighth Pay Commission has been formed on time so that its recommendations can be properly formulated. There should be no rush in implementing the plan.
