In a heart-wrenching crime that has shocked Uttar Pradesh’s Etawah district, a son murdered his own mother in cold blood, reportedly due to resentment over her second marriage. The gruesome incident occurred in Balrai police station area, where 45-year-old Yashoda Devi Sharma was strangled and crushed by a Scorpio SUV by her own son and his accomplices.
Body Found on Roadside, Identity Revealed 36 Hours Later
On July 28, police found the blood-soaked body of an unidentified woman near Fakire Ki Madiya village. After 36 hours of investigation, she was identified as Yashoda Devi Sharma, a resident of Khuriyapur village in Agra district. She had remarried Ramniwas Sharma, while her first husband was still alive.
Son Held Grudge for Years, Hatched Murder Plot
According to Superintendent of Police Abhyanath Tripathi, Yashoda’s remarriage brought “shame” to her sons in the eyes of society. Her son Kaushal Sharma reportedly couldn’t get married himself due to this stigma. Filled with hatred and pressure, he allegedly began plotting his mother’s murder six years ago.
On the night of the incident, Kaushal lured his mother to Balrai on the pretext of getting medicines. His friends Rajat and Bobby were already waiting. The three then strangled Yashoda Devi, crushed her body under a Scorpio, and burnt her mobile phone to destroy evidence.
Planned Every Detail to Avoid Detection
The police revealed that the accused used new SIM cards and mobile phones to avoid being tracked. However, thanks to CCTV footage and mobile location tracking, investigators uncovered the conspiracy. Police recovered the Scorpio, the bike used for transport, and three mobile phones used during the crime.
Arrests Made, Manhunt Underway for Others
The main accused Kaushal Sharma, along with Rajat and Bobby, have been arrested. However, Satveer Kabir, Saurabh, and another unnamed suspect are still absconding. A police team led by CO Jaswantnagar Ayushi Singh and Balrai Station Incharge Diwakar Prasad Saroj is actively pursuing them.
Authorities have promised that no accused will be spared and that all responsible for this heinous act will face the harshest legal consequences.
