BSF Jawan Abducted By Bangladesh Civilians: Bangladeshi citizens kidnapped BSF jawan and took him across the border. Know what happened after this?
BSF Jawan Abducted By Bangladesh Civilians: A shocking incident has come to light from Murshidabad district of West Bengal, where Bangladeshi citizens kidnapped a Border Security Force (BSF) jawan and took him across the international border. The incident took place in the Chandni Chowk area near the BSF camp located in Sutiyar in Nurpur area of the district in the early hours of Wednesday.
BSF jawan kidnapped
According to media reports, initially it was being said that Shri Ganesh, a soldier of the 71st battalion, had accidentally entered Bangladesh while chasing the intruders. However, later the internal investigation of BSF made it clear that the soldier was in the Indian border area and he was forcibly dragged and taken to Bangladesh.
BSF sources informed that the incident happened when the jawans were trying to stop the infiltration attempt from Bangladesh near Kathalia village. During that time, some anti-social elements from Bangladesh's Chapai Nawabganj district caught them. It is said that the jawan showed humanity and allowed some Bangladeshis to come near him for talks, but they deceived him and kidnapped the jawan.
BSF immediately informed BGB
In this case, the BSF immediately contacted the officials of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) and raised the issue seriously. After the strict initiative of the BSF, the Bangladeshi officials intervened and the jawan was released within a few hours. A senior officer of the South Bengal Frontier has confirmed that the jawan is safe and has now returned with his unit. This incident raises serious questions related to border security and underlines the need to further strengthen coordination between the two countries, so that such an incident does not happen again.
