The Congress has once again stirred confusion within the Mahagathbandhan in Bihar over the issue of the Chief Ministerial candidate. Bihar Congress in-charge Krishna Allavaru, while addressing journalists in Patna, said that it will ultimately be the people of Bihar who decide the CM face.
“All is well, there is no need to worry. The people of Bihar will decide the CM’s face,” Allavaru said, avoiding a clear announcement on the alliance’s leadership.
Seat-Sharing Talks Making Headway
Speaking on seat distribution, he noted, “Discussions on seat sharing are progressing positively. In every meeting, efforts are being made to finalize as many seats as possible. We are satisfied with the progress, and more clarity will emerge soon.”
On New Alliance Partners
Allavaru also addressed the inclusion of new partners in the Mahagathbandhan. “In any alliance—be it state or national—when new partners join, the existing ones must make some sacrifices. This is the dharma of every alliance, not just ours,” he explained.
Attack on State and Central Government
Criticizing the recent lathicharge on contract workers in Patna, he alleged, “The government in Patna is of vote thieves, and the government in Delhi is also of vote thieves. Such governments unleash lathicharge on the public, allocate thousands of acres of land to Adani at throwaway prices, and serve industrialists and mafias instead of people. They know they win by stealing votes.”
‘No Fear of FIR’
On the NDA’s criticism of Tejashwi Yadav’s Maa Behan Yojana, he retorted, “If working for the people is wrong and you want to file an FIR, go ahead. INDIA alliance will not back down from people’s issues and welfare.”
When asked about the possibility of Mukesh Sahni being made Deputy CM, he replied, “First let the government be formed, then such decisions will be taken.”
