Biometric could not be done in NEET UG exam, chaos in Delhi's Jahangirpuri Government Girls College

NEET UG was conducted on Sunday from 2 pm to 5 pm at various centres across the country. A centre was also set up for this at Delhi's Jahangirpuri Government Senior Secondary Girls College. Here, not only were the students' biometrics taken, but they were allowed to enter the centre with their admit cards, but the biometrics were not taken even after the exam was over. Students fear that if this is not done, their results may also be withheld.

A big negligence has come to light at a centre in the NEET UG exam. In the block of Delhi's Jahangirpuri Government Senior Secondary Girls College, biometrics of many students were not taken. The students were told that the machine is faulty, first give the exam and then the biometrics will be taken. However, this was not done even after the exam. Till late night, the students kept trying to talk to the centre in-charge, but no satisfactory answer could be found. The centre in-charge simply said that the work will go on even without biometrics. Late night, this was also confirmed by NTA, in which it was said that the attendance of the students whose biometrics have not been done will also be considered through CCTV.

NEET UG was organized on Sunday from 2 pm to 5 pm at various centers across the country. A center was also set up for this at Delhi's Jahangirpuri Government Senior Secondary Girls College. A large number of students came here to take the exam. The rule is that students were to be given entry in the examination center only according to biometrics, however, after taking biometrics of some students, it was said that the machine is not working, after which entry was given with the admit card and it was said that biometrics will be taken after the machine is fixed, but this was not done.

Sudents are stuck in the college, the management has no answer

When biometrics were not taken even after the exam, the students demanded an answer. The management could not give any answer in this regard, instead they said that this has happened at all the centers in Delhi. When the students insisted for biometrics, they were told that attendance will be considered without biometrics, whereas according to the rules of NEET this cannot be done. A student who came to take the exam told that there is also a process of putting a hologram on the admit card in the exam, that too was not completed, when she complained to the center in-charge, he said that there is a crowd, due to which there is a problem, cooperate and everything will be done.

Our year will be wasted

The students present at the examination centre are constantly demanding the management to complete the biometric process. In a conversation with TV9hindi, the students said that if the biometric process is not done then it will be assumed that our biometrics did not match and we will be considered absent. In such a situation, the result of the paper we have taken will not be released. The students also allege that when the centre in-charge said that there will be no problem, they were asked to give it in writing, but the centre in-charge was not ready for that either.

What are the rules of NEET UG if there is no biometric?

NTA has made biometrics mandatory before NEET UG so that the sanctity of the exam can be maintained. If a student's biometrics do not match before the exam, he may be denied from appearing in the exam. If any discrepancy in biometrics is found during or after the exam, then suspecting fraud, NTA can consider it as an attempt to cheat and can also withhold the result of the concerned student. In such a situation, the students are worried because in their case biometrics were not taken, the students say that in such a situation their presence in the exam hall will not be considered.

NTA said- don't worry, attendance will be considered

Late night, NTA sources were quoted as saying that cases of biometric scans not happening have come up from many places. In such a situation, there is no need to worry. In fact, apart from biometrics, some students had also opted for KYC, the attendance of the children whose entry was done through OTP will be considered from that and those whose entry was to be done through biometrics but it could not be done, their entry will be considered through CCTV. According to NTA sources, holograms have been put in front of the names of such students, so that the attendance of such students can be ensured.
