The woman observed a fast on Teej for her husband's long life, but the same husband killed her a day after the fast. He first brought his wife home who had gone to her parents' house, then killed her by hitting her with an iron rod. With a blood-stained rod in his hand, he reached the police station and said- I have killed my wife, arrest me. The police too was shocked to hear this incident and first seized the rod from the accused's hand. Then the accused was caught and put in the lockup. The entire incident is from Tokaro village of Abhanpur in the capital Raipur.

CG Crime News: Information received - Mukesh Sen who lives in Tokaro village doubted the character of his wife Priyanka Sen. On Teej his wife Priyanka had gone to her maternal home to celebrate Teej festival. She observed the Teej fast. On the second day of the fast Mukesh reached his maternal home and said that his father wants to throw him out of the house. I am scared that's why I have come to take Priyanka. If we both stay together then my father will not be able to do anything. On hearing this from the accused husband Priyanka, Priyanka agreed to go with her husband. On the evening of 27th August at 10 pm Mukesh was quarrelling with his wife Priyanka doubting her character. After this he attacked his wife with a rod and killed her.

Both of them had established a relationship before the incident

During interrogation with the police, the accused said that he suspected that his wife was meeting another man behind his back. She had physical relations with him and there were frequent fights between them regarding this matter. On the night of the incident, the husband and wife had sex. During this time, he questioned his wife about the affair. The dispute escalated so much that the husband attacked his wife's head with an iron rod already kept in his room. She was admitted to the hospital in a critical condition, where she died during treatment.

The parents made these serious allegations

On the other hand, the deceased's parents say that the accused Mukesh Sen and his entire family used to harass Priyanka Sen for dowry. Due to the beatings, Priyanka left her husband twice and came to her parents' house, but after being counselled in a social meeting, she was sent back to her in-laws' house. Abhanpur police has registered a case of murder against the accused husband in this entire matter and is engaged in further investigation.
