Chicken Neck could be 150km wide, tensions will end as soon as Rangpur Division is separated, it is a stronghold of 23 lakh Hindus!

Bangladesh News: Bangladesh's radical forces are constantly engaged in anti-India activities. They repeatedly threaten India. These forces threaten to cut off our Northeast from the rest of the country. But they don't realize that a mere glance from India could lead to the separation of at least two of its regions. One of these is Rangpur Division. However, India respects international rules and standards and therefore remains silent. If the situation escalates, Muhammad Yunus himself will be so severely hurt that the radicals there will remember it for seven lifetimes.

Bangladesh News: Since the removal of Sheikh Hasina's government in Bangladesh, power has been in the hands of fundamentalist forces. Chief Advisor Mohammad Yunus himself has become a puppet in the hands of these fundamentalist forces. Consequently, anti-India sentiment is quite pronounced there. The fundamentalists are threatening India on every issue. However, Bangladesh and its fundamentalist forces are insignificant in comparison to India. Geographically, the current rulers of this country, completely nestled in India's lap, have forgotten that India gave birth to them. Now, they are threatening India itself. They talk of separating the Northeast region from India. They threaten to cut off India's Siliguri Corridor, also known as the Chicken Neck.

But they don't realize that a large part of their territory could be liberated simply by India's support. That area is Rangpur Division. Chicken Neck is adjacent to this division, andBangladeshNearly 90 percent of the border of this division connects with the Indian state of West Bengal.

There's now a lot of discussion going on about this on social media. Many people are saying that enough is enough. India should prioritize national interests and begin efforts to liberate this division from Bangladesh. Liberation of this division would widen India's Siliguri Corridor by approximately 120 to 150 km. This would solve a major problem for India.

Is it possible to do this?

Look, this is theoretically impossible for any country. India is a responsible nation and respects international law. However, sometimes circumstances arise that necessitate direct or indirect intervention in a neighboring country to protect itself. In such a situation, no country can sit idle. Because ultimately,BangladeshIt is a country sitting in our lap and any of its actions is sure to have a direct impact on India.

The Russia-Ukraine war is an example.

To illustrate this point, we can use the current Russia-Ukraine war as an example. Historically, Ukraine was part of Soviet Russia. After its partition, it became a separate country. Then, it rapidly came under Western influence. Russia, on the other hand, disliked this, yet remained calm. However, Ukraine, as a sovereign country, continued to align with anti-Russian forces. It began to vie for membership in NATO, the largest anti-Russia military alliance. This led to Russia's patience running out. Russia could not tolerate NATO's presence on its borders at any cost. This is why it attacked Ukraine. Russia possesses the military strength and the ability to do so. Today, the situation has become such that the US and several Western countries are proposing a ceasefire to Russia, calling for Ukraine's separation from NATO and recognizing the occupied part of Ukraine. This means that Western countries are now also accepting Russia's concerns.

In this way, it is clear that if the security of any country is threatened, then it may be forced to take military action based on this argument.BangladeshThe current rulers of the USSR are actively trying to create such a situation. They are constantly encouraging anti-India forces. In such a situation, India could intervene militarily. However, this military intervention, like the Russia-Ukraine war, could be widespread and cause significant economic losses.

Now let us come to Rangpur Division

However, at the time of the creation of Bangladesh in 1971, India had a golden opportunity to widen its Siliguri Corridor.BangladeshEither annex this division of Bangladesh into India or create an independent country. At that time, this was easy for India because it had fought for its independence. It had risked conflict with the entire world. America, the world's own Uncle Sam, was against India, but the late Prime Minister Indira Gandhi displayed excellent leadership and achieved the creation of Bangladesh.

About 23 lakh Hindus

Rangpur Division is completely within the fold of West Bengal. It is a large division with an area of 16,185 square kilometers. Its total population is approximately 19 million. It is a highly densely populated area, with 1,200 people living per km. Approximately 2.3 million Hindus live in this area, representing approximately 13 percent of the total population. The Muslim community constitutes approximately 86 percent. In terms of percentage, Rangpur Division is the second most populous division in Bangladesh. Sylhet Division has the highest Hindu population at 13.51 percent. In terms of numbers, the capital, Dhaka Division, has the highest number of Hindus, at approximately 2.8 million. However, Dhaka Division's total population is 44.2 million, and the percentage share of Hindus is approximately 6.26 percent.

How can Rangpur be different?

See, separating this division from Bangladesh through direct military action is a very difficult task. To achieve this, the local people will have to come forward. First, the Hindus living in Bangladesh will have to settle in this area. They will have to change the demographics. When they are united and strong in a specific area, the internal threat to them will also decrease. Then, if they face any external need, it will be easier for India to provide indirect assistance. Furthermore, if they are subjected to atrocities or crimes, or are oppressed or treated as second-class citizens, they can demand a separate territory for themselves on this basis. In such a case, India can support their demand. This way, the issue will reach the international stage and will be discussed. Then, if necessary, India can intervene militarily to liberate Rangpur, because Rangpur's geographical location is ideally suited for its liberation. In such a situation, the first step will have to be taken by the Hindus living in Bangladesh.
