In a feat rarely seen on a cricket field, Indian spinner Kishore Kumar Sadhak created history by taking two hat-tricks in two consecutive overs in a single innings during a league match in England. Playing for Ipswich and Colchester Cricket Club in the Two Counties Championship Division Six, Sadhak stunned both fans and opponents with this extraordinary bowling performance.
Two Hat-Tricks in Back-to-Back Overs
The historic moment occurred on July 5, 2025, against Kesgrave Cricket Club. Sadhak took:
-
Three wickets on the last three balls of his fourth over,
-
Followed by three more wickets on the third, fourth, and fifth balls of his next over.
This rare double hat-trick helped bowl out Kesgrave for just 138 runs in 30 overs, with five of the dismissed batsmen not even opening their account. Sadhak finished with figures of 6 wickets for 21 runs in 6 overs, including five bowled and one caught, and even ran out a seventh batsman, Jaskaran Singh.
Historic Rarity: First in 113 Years
Only two other bowlers in history have achieved two hat-tricks in a match —
-
Jimmy Matthews (Australia, 1912 vs. South Africa)
-
Mitchell Starc (Australia, 2017 Sheffield Shield)
However, both bowlers took their hat-tricks across two innings. Kishore Kumar Sadhak is now the first-ever bowler to take two hat-tricks in consecutive overs of the same innings, making this a truly one-of-a-kind record.

Kishore didn’t stop at bowling. Chasing 139, he remained unbeaten on 14 runs, hitting 2 fours and a six, as his team chased down the target in just 21 overs.
Speaking after the match, an elated Kishore said,
"I got so many phone calls after the match. We celebrated at a restaurant. When I bowled that final wicket, I was flying in the sky—it was an unforgettable moment."
A New Star in the Making?
Kishore Kumar Sadhak's performance has now gone viral, with fans and cricket circles hailing it as one of the rarest achievements in the history of the sport.
