There will be big changes in terms of GST (Good and Service Tax) reform in the month of September. The 56th meeting of the GST Council will be held on 3 and 4 September 2025 in New Delhi. According to media reports, there may be a change in the tax slab. Instead of the current four tax slabs, now there can be only two slabs of 5 percent and 12 percent. SBI card rules will change

If you have the State Bank of India's Lifestyle Home Centre SBI Card or its Select version, then there is important news for you. From September 1, you will no longer get reward points on payments made on digital gaming and government portals. Apart from this, charges may increase on bill payment, fuel purchase or online shopping. A 2 percent penalty may also be applicable on auto-debit failure and additional fees may also be applicable on international transactions.

KYC is mandatory for PM Jan Dhan account holders

RBI said that the account holders of Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana will have to get their KYC done again by 30th September. Camps are being organized at the panchayat level in public banks. In this process, personal and address details will be updated. This will ensure that the account records will always be correct.

Last date for filing the income tax return

The last date for filing the income tax return for the assessment year 2025-26 is 15 September 2025. Those who have not filed ITR yet should file it as soon as possible. 15 Days Bank Holiday in September 2025
