A drone video of this encounter has surfaced, in which the terrorist is seen hiding behind a pillar. An assault rifle is seen in his hand. In another video, terrorists can be seen hiding inside a broken shed.

Three terrorists of Jaish-e-Mohammed killed

After getting accurate information about the presence of terrorists in Avantipura in South Kashmir, the security forces cordoned off the area and started a search operation. During this, the hidden terrorists opened fire on the security forces, after which an encounter started. In this encounter, terrorists of Jaish-e-Mohammed (JEM) organization were killed. Officials said that the three terrorists have been identified as Asif Ahmed Sheikh, Aamir Nazir Wani and Yawar Ahmed Bhat. All of them are residents of Pulwama district of Jammu and Kashmir.

Second encounter in Kashmir in last 48 hours

This encounter took place two days after the security forces killed three Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorists in an operation in the Keller area of ​​Shopian district. This was the second encounter in Kashmir in the last 48 hours. An encounter took place between security forces and terrorists in the forest area of ​​Shopian in Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday (May 13, 2025). Based on secret information, the security forces took action and eliminated the terrorists as well as their plans.

Search operation is going on in many areas after intelligence input

The Indian Army said, "On May 15, 2025, based on specific intelligence input from the international agency, a cordon and search operation was launched by the Indian Army, Jammu and Kashmir Police and Srinagar Sector CRPF in Nader, Tral, Awantipora. During this, suspicious activity was observed." All these encounters have taken place after surveillance was increased after the Pahalgam terror attack.
