A horrific incident has come to light in Gwalior. Where a boyfriend poured petrol on himself and set himself on fire after his girlfriend refused to marry him.

A young man in Gwalior poured petrol on himself and set himself on fire outside his girlfriend's house. The young man suffered 75 percent burns. The incident happened around 12.30 pm on Friday night. He died during treatment on Sunday. The young man was admitted in the burn ward of Jayarogya Hospital. This heart-wrenching incident took place in Patia Wale Baba Mohalla of Sikandar Kampu area of ​​the city. The young man's name is being told as Ajay Kushwaha, who reached in front of his girlfriend's house at around 12:30 pm late night. He poured petrol on himself and set himself on fire. The video of this entire incident is becoming increasingly viral on social media, in which the young man is seen surrounded by flames.

Died during treatment in hospital

The fire spread so fast that before the young man could be rescued, he had suffered more than 75% burns. He was immediately admitted to the burn ward of Jayarogya Hospital, where he died during treatment. It can be seen in the video that when the young man was setting himself on fire, the people of the locality came out of their houses shocked and scared. No one understood anything and the fire was so intense that it could not be extinguished immediately.

Police started investigation

Madhavganj police station in-charge Prashant Sharma said that as soon as the information was received at night, the police reached the spot and took the burnt youth to the hospital. Initial investigation has revealed that the youth was under mental stress, which was due to differences in love affairs. Police said that Ajay had been friends with a girl from the same locality for a long time, but recently there were fights and distance between them, due to which he was mentally broken. Police is interrogating the local people and the girl's family. Further action in the case will be taken on the basis of video and witnesses.
