PF Claim: If you recently filed a PF withdrawal claim, you may have to wait a few more days. The EPFO has stated that due to database upgrades and software migration, there may be delays in processing PF claims and other services. The organization stated that this process will be conducted in a phased manner over the next two weeks. During this time, all claims will undergo additional scrutiny. This is intended to make the system more secure and faster.
Why is there a delay in PF claims?
The EPFO began upgrading its database and software systems on June 26th. Due to this, online services were temporarily suspended. Services have now resumed, but claims and other requests will not be processed at the normal speed. The organization states that claims will only be processed after reviewing all records.
Work will be done in a phased manner over two weeks
According to the EPFO, PF claims and other service requests will be processed in a phased manner over the next two weeks. During this period, additional verification and data checks will be conducted to ensure member information is completely accurate. The organization says this will make future services faster and more reliable.
Avoid making repeated requests
EPFO has advised members not to apply repeatedly for the same claim. They should also avoid logging into the portal repeatedly during peak hours. Doing so could put additional pressure on the system and could take longer. The organization has stated that all claims will be processed according to the established procedures .
Services are currently unavailable on the UMANG app
Currently, EPFO services are not available on the UMANG app. Members will not be able to access PF-related services through the app until the migration process is complete. However, the EPFO member portal is fully operational. Members can submit PF claims by logging into the portal using their Universal Account Number and password.
