Heavy Rain Warnings: According to the Meteorological Department, heavy to very heavy rainfall is likely to continue in North Gujarat till August 23. A new phase of heavy to very heavy rainfall may start in Gujarat from August 25.

Heavy Rain Warnings: According to IMD, a new low-pressure area is likely to form over the northwest Bay of Bengal and north Odisha and Gangetic West Bengal around August 25. After which, a new round of heavy to very heavy rainfall may start over eastern India and adjoining areas from August 24.

Heavy rains are likely in Goa and Maharashtra during the next 7 days

According to the Meteorological Department, heavy rainfall is likely to continue in Konkan and Goa, Madhya Maharashtra during the next 7 days, very heavy rainfall is likely in Konkan on 25 and 26 August. Strong surface winds (speed 40-50 kmph) are likely to blow on the Gujarat coast during the next 5 days and on the Maharashtra coast on 22 August.

Heavy rain is likely at isolated places over Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, Bihar during next 7 days; Vidarbha on 26th and 27th August; Odisha, Jharkhand, Gangetic West Bengal during 22nd-26th August. While very heavy rain is likely at isolated places over West Madhya Pradesh, Gangetic West Bengal on 22nd August; Jharkhand, Bihar on 22nd and 23rd August; Odisha on 22nd, 25th and 26th August and Chhattisgarh during 25th-27th August.

Heavy rain is likely at isolated places over Jammu & Kashmir, Punjab, Haryana during 22nd to 26th August; over Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Rajasthan during next 6-7 days; over Uttar Pradesh during 22nd to 25th August; over East Rajasthan during 22nd to 24th August; over Punjab, Haryana on 23rd; over Uttarakhand during 22nd to 25th August; over Himachal Pradesh during 23rd to 26th August; very heavy rain is likely at isolated places over West Rajasthan on 23rd and 24th August.

According to the Meteorological Department, heavy rainfall is likely to continue at isolated places over Assam and Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura, Arunachal Pradesh for 5 days, while very heavy rains are likely over Arunachal Pradesh, Tripura, Mizoram, Assam, and Meghalaya on August 22.

Heavy rains are likely in Karnataka and Kerala on 26 and 27 August

Heavy rainfall is likely over coastal and north interior Karnataka, Kerala, on 26 and 27 August, and over coastal Andhra Pradesh on 25 and 26 August. Light to moderate rainfall with thunderstorms and lightning is likely at most/many places over Tamil Nadu, coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam, and Telangana during the next 5 days.
