ICC T20I Rankings: Indian spinner Varun Chakravarthy holds the No. 1 spot in the ICC Men's T20I Bowler Rankings, but in the latest rankings, he has reached a career-best rating. Varun achieved a career-best rating of 818 points.

Varun has gained in the ICC rankings after taking two wickets in the third match of the five-match T20I series against South Africa. Tilak Verma has also jumped two places, while Arshdeep Singh has gained four places. Surprisingly, Indian T20I captain Suryakumar Yadav has dropped out of the top 10.

Varun Chakravarthy achieved his career-best rating

Varun Chakravarthy took a total of six wickets in the first three matches of the T20I series against South Africa. He took two wickets for 11 runs in four overs in the third match played in Dharamsala. This performance helped him gain promotion in the ICC rankings.

He remains at the top of the T20I bowlers' rankings with 818 rating points. New Zealand seamer Jacob Duffy is in second place with 699. The two are currently separated by 119 rating points, while 34-year-old Varun Chakravarthy has entered the top 10 list of all-time T20I bowlers with the best ratings.

With two months left for the start of the T20 World Cup 2026, Varun Chakravarthy is expected to be India's biggest asset in the upcoming tournament and help India win back-to-back T20 World Cup titles like in Barbados last year.

Varun Chakraborty broke Bumrah 's record

Indian spinner Varun Chakravarthy  has surpassed Jasprit  Bumrah's ICC T20I Bowlers Rating. Bumrah achieved a career -best T20I rating of 783 on February 1, 2017 , which was the highest rating by an Indian bowler in T20Is , but now Varun Chakravarthy has achieved this record.  

Arshdeep Singh-Tilak Verma also benefited

Left-arm bowler Arshdeep Singh also jumped four places to 16th in the T20I bowler rankings, following his match-winning performance in the third T20I against South Africa.

He was awarded Player of the Match after the third match, while  Marco Jansen has jumped 14 places to 25th for South Africa in the same list. Lungi Ngidi has jumped 11 places to 44th, and Ottneel Bartman, who was also outside the 100-run mark, has moved up to 68th.

Tilak Varma (ICC Rankings) has jumped two places to fourth in the ICC T20I Batsman Rankings. Two Indian players are now in the top five  of the ICC T20I Batsman Rankings . Abhishek Sharma is at No. 1 with a rating of 909. England's Phil Salt is at No. 2 with a rating of 849. Suryakumar Yadav (Suryakumar Yadav ICC Rankings) has slipped one place to 10th.

Pakistan's Sam  Ayub remains at the top of the ICC T20 International all-rounders  rankings , while India's Shivam Dube has gained  two places to reach 16th position on the list .
