The emotional turmoil of former cricketer Yograj Singh, father of Yuvraj Singh, has finally come to light, and the depth of his suffering is heartbreaking. In a conversation with The Vintage Studio, Yograj revealed the pain he has carried for years. While speaking about the darkest chapters of his life, he admitted that he feels exhausted and even expressed that he is ready to die. He shared that relying on others for food has pushed him to a point where he feels life has lost its meaning.
Yograj recalled the biggest shock of his life—the moment when his son Yuvraj and his ex-wife Shabnam walked away from him. He described it as emotionally shattering, something he could never have imagined. According to him, the woman for whom he sacrificed his entire youth, dreams, and ambitions left him in an instant, leaving him completely broken. He said he still struggles to believe that the years he invested in his family disappeared so suddenly.
Opening up further, Yograj revealed that he now survives by depending on strangers for food. Sometimes one person offers help, sometimes another. Despite this, he insists he never burdens anyone. He believes his life has come full circle, and he is prepared to go whenever God decides. The pain, loneliness, and betrayal he carries have left him emotionally drained.
Talking about his cricketing days, Yograj Singh was a fast bowler who represented India briefly, playing one Test and six ODIs. In his short international career, he took a total of five wickets and scored 11 runs. Even though his time in cricket was limited, he remains remembered as the father of one of India’s greatest match-winners.
