On the first day of the second unofficial Test match between India A and England Lions, opener Yashasvi Jaiswal looked angry with the umpire's decision. Yashasvi and KL Rahul opened the innings against the England Lions, but Yashasvi soon returned to the pavilion. India A's score crosses 300

With the help of opener KL Rahul's century and Dhruv Jurel's half-century, India A has scored 319 runs for seven wickets in the first innings till the end of the first day of the second unofficial Test match against England Lions. At the time of stumps, Tanush Kotian was at the crease with five runs and Anshul Kamboj with one run. For England Lions, Chris Woakes took three wickets, George Hill took two, and Farhan Ahmed and Tom Haynes took one wicket each.

England Lions won the toss and chose to bowl on the first day of the unofficial Test match against India A. India A suffered early setbacks in the form of Yashasvi Jaiswal and captain Abhimanyu Easwaran. KL Rahul joined the India A team after the end of IPL 2025 and opened with Yashasvi. There was a partnership of 28 runs for the first wicket between the two batsmen. Yashasvi was dismissed after scoring 17 runs with the help of two fours in 26 balls.

Yashasvi returned to the pavilion in anger.

Yashasvi was made a victim by Chris Woakes. Woakes' ball hit Yashasvi's pad and the umpire gave him out. Yashasvi was not happy with this decision and pointed towards the umpire and said that the ball was going out. However, this was an unofficial test due to which Yashasvi did not have the right to challenge the umpire's decision. After getting out, Yashasvi stood at the crease for a few seconds, but when the umpire again signaled him out, he was seen returning to the pavilion in anger.

A century partnership between Rahul-Jurel

England Lions gave India early setbacks, but Rahul handled the innings first with Karun Nair and then with Jurel. After tea, first Rahul completed his century and then Jurel scored a half-century. However, after scoring a half-century, Jurel was bowled by George Hill. Jurel was dismissed after scoring 52 runs with the help of seven fours in 87 balls. Hill broke the 121-run partnership for the fourth wicket between Jurel and Rahul. Shortly after this, KL Rahul also returned to the pavilion. Hill also made Rahul his victim. Rahul was dismissed after scoring 116 runs with the help of 15 fours and a six in 168 balls.
