There is good news for mobile users. Mobile users will have the option to buy a 30-day recharge plan instead of a 28-day plan. After  the government implemented the new recharge rules, Bharatiya Janata Party Rajya Sabha MP Raghav Chadha has given information about this. Chadha said that the new rules implemented by the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India will benefit users across the country. He gave this information by sharing a 'reel' on the social media platform 'Instagram'.

These new rules will only benefit users who use their phones for incoming calls. Incoming call and messaging packages will be made available to those customers. Raghav Chadha said he raised this issue in Parliament in February. Following his suggestion, the government has now implemented this rule. Chadha further stated that this is a good example of how people's concerns are raised in Parliament. He added that this is a good example of how the government pays attention to them and takes decisions.

He said, "On March 11, 2026, I raised some issues faced by prepaid mobile users in Parliament. Some people don't use data and use their phones only for incoming calls. I also drew attention to this. I am happy to say that the government has accepted all those demands. TRAI has implemented the Telecom Consumer Protection (13th Amendment) Rules, 2026. The first major change under this is that the validity of recharge will now be 30 days instead of 28 days.

Raghav Chadha said that now you will pay only for the services you use. Elaborating further on this issue, Chadha said, "Customers who do not want recharge plans that include data will now have the option to take plans that only provide incoming calls and text messages. You will be charged only for the specific services you need."
