Jashpur: A heart-wrenching incident has come to light from Jashpur district of Chhattisgarh . In a village in Kunkuri police station area, a son brutally murdered his own mother with an axe. The incident has stunned the entire area. The deceased has been identified as Gula Bai, while the accused son is said to be Jeet Ram Yadav. The police have taken the accused into custody. The reasons for the murder are being investigated.
Mother was murdered with an axe
According to the police, the incident happened on Sunday late evening. Gula Bai, who lives in Kunkuri police station area, was busy with her daily chores. Suddenly, her son Jeet Ram Yadav reached there and attacked his mother with an axe. Gula Bai was seriously injured in the attack and died on the spot. After the incident, there was an atmosphere of panic in the entire village. The villagers immediately informed the police. The police team reached the spot and after completing the Panchnama proceedings, sent the body for post-mortem.

This incident is considered even more shocking because after killing his mother, the accused Jeet Ram sat at the crime scene and started singing. The villagers said that, seeing his actions, it seemed as if he had no remorse for his act. Seeing this strange behavior of the accused, the villagers suspected that his mental condition may not be right. By the time the police arrived, the accused was sitting there and humming. The police managed to control him with great difficulty and took him into custody.
Police investigation continues
Kunkuri police station in charge said that prima facie, the mental condition of the accused does not seem to be normal. However, the reason for the murder is not clear yet. The police are investigating the case from all angles. Family members and neighbors are being questioned to find out if there was any dispute going on in the family, or if the accused was suffering from some mental illness for a long time.
The body will be handed over after the post-mortem
The body of the deceased Gula Bai has been sent for postmortem. After this, the body will be handed over to the family. Villagers say that Gula Bai was a very calm and hardworking woman.
