A gruesome triple murder in Jaunpur, Uttar Pradesh, has left the community in shock. In a chilling echo of the fictional killer Hathoda Tyagi from the web series Paatal Lok, a father and his two sons were bludgeoned to death with a hammer while they slept inside their welding workshop near the Nevada bypass in the Zafarabad police station area.

Sometime during the night, the attacker entered and used a workshop hammer to brutally murder all three men in their sleep. The scene bore signs of a calculated crime—the CCTV cameras and DVR were stolen, indicating an attempt to destroy digital evidence.
The bodies were discovered the next morning by Lalji’s son-in-law, who immediately informed the police.
