Amidst the Iran war and Middle East tensions, India has been facing a severe shortage of LPG cylinders for the past few days. While claims are being made that the situation is gradually coming under control, the government and gas companies are continuously engaged in booking and cylinder delivery, but complaints of black marketing by dealerships and local shopkeepers are also being received from many places. Meanwhile, the country's largest LPG company, Indane, has released new numbers for cylinder booking.

The first missed call number is 8927225667, while the second IVRS number is 8391990070. However, existing numbers will continue to work.
The new all-India number for booking existing IOCL (Indane) gas cylinders is 8454955555 (missed call) and the WhatsApp number is 7588888824.

You can also call 1800-2333-555. These services are available 24 hours a day and there is no additional charge. The Petroleum Ministry says that in many places, people are panicking and calling for cylinders. This is putting unnecessary strain on the system, and to address this, a new number has been added.

Petroleum Ministry Appeals - Don't panic!
Sujata Sharma, Additional Secretary of the Petroleum Ministry, stated that crude oil supplies are sufficient, and diesel and petrol are available. We produce as much as our demand allows. Work is underway to shift commercial LPG consumers to NPG.
