Mahindra to Launch 3 New SUVs and Vehicles by June 2027: Vision S, BE 07 and Scorpio Pickup in Focus

Mahindra is gearing up for an exciting phase in the Indian automobile market, with three new vehicles expected to arrive by June 2027. The company is preparing to expand its SUV, electric vehicle and lifestyle pickup portfolio with several new products aimed at different categories of buyers.

The upcoming launches are expected to include the production version of the Vision S concept, the BE 07 electric SUV and the Scorpio-based lifestyle pickup. Mahindra has also indicated that it is preparing five major product launches during the first half of 2027.

The company shared its future product strategy during a media briefing following its Q2 FY27 financial results. Rajesh Jejurikar, Executive Director and CEO of Mahindra's Auto and Farm Sector, discussed the company's upcoming launches and expansion plans.

What Are Mahindra's Upcoming Launch Plans?

Mahindra is working on multiple new vehicles, including an SUV based on its NU_IQ platform, a new electric vehicle, a lifestyle pickup, an update to an existing model and a light commercial vehicle.

Three of these products are expected to reach the Indian market by June 2027.

One of the most interesting developments is the introduction of the NU_IQ platform, which is designed to support multiple powertrain options, including petrol, diesel, hybrid and electric configurations. The first SUV based on this architecture is expected to be the production version of the Vision S concept, showcased in August 2025.

Mahindra Vision S: What Features Can Buyers Expect?

The upcoming Vision S-based SUV is expected to become an important addition to Mahindra's compact SUV portfolio. Test vehicles have already been spotted on Indian roads, indicating that development work is progressing.

The production model is expected to retain the concept's distinctive boxy appearance and rugged styling.

Some of the expected highlights include:

  • Flush-fitting door handles.

  • Panoramic sunroof.

  • Tailgate-mounted spare wheel.

  • Two-spoke steering wheel inspired by Mahindra's newer SUV designs.

  • Large touchscreen infotainment system, potentially measuring 10.25 inches.

The SUV is expected to be positioned above the XUV 3XO in Mahindra's lineup. Its biggest advantage could be the flexibility of the NU_IQ platform, which can accommodate different types of powertrains.

Mahindra BE 07 Electric SUV: A New Addition to the BE Range

Mahindra is also preparing to expand its electric vehicle portfolio with the BE 07. The upcoming electric SUV will become another important product under the company's dedicated BE sub-brand and is expected to be positioned above the BE 6.

The BE 07 is expected to feature a modern cabin with a triple-screen dashboard, glass roof, ambient lighting and an integrated dashcam. Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) could also be among its major highlights.

The electric SUV will be based on Mahindra's INGLO platform. It is expected to use battery pack options similar to those offered with the BE 6, including 59kWh and 79kWh configurations.

Once launched, the BE 07 could compete with electric SUVs such as the Tata Harrier EV, VinFast VF7 and BYD Atto 3.

Mahindra Scorpio Lifestyler Pickup: A Rugged New Offering

Another highly anticipated vehicle is the Scorpio Lifestyler pickup, which is aimed at buyers looking for a combination of utility, off-road capability and lifestyle appeal.

The pickup was unveiled in August 2026 and draws inspiration from Mahindra's 2023 Global Pik Up concept. It will share its body-on-frame architecture with the Scorpio N.

Mahindra has indicated that the starting price will be below Rs 19.79 lakh (ex-showroom), making it an interesting option in the lifestyle pickup segment.

The vehicle is expected to offer the Scorpio N's engine options:

  • 2.2-litre diesel engine: Expected to produce 175 hp.

  • 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine: Expected to produce 203 hp.

Both engines are expected to be offered with six-speed manual and automatic transmission options. A four-wheel-drive system is also anticipated, although the final specifications will be confirmed closer to launch.

With its rugged construction and practical pickup body, the Scorpio Lifestyler could appeal to adventure enthusiasts and customers looking for a versatile vehicle.

Mahindra Is Increasing Its Production Capacity

Along with preparing new products, Mahindra is also expanding its manufacturing capabilities to meet rising demand.

At the end of September 2026, the company's combined monthly production capacity for SUVs and electric vehicles stood at approximately 68,000 units.

Mahindra plans to increase this figure to around 82,000 units by the end of FY27.

The proposed capacity will include approximately 70,000 internal combustion engine (ICE) SUVs and 12,000 electric vehicles every month.

This expansion is expected to help the company manage demand for its existing models while preparing for the arrival of its upcoming products.

What Does This Mean for Car Buyers?

Mahindra's upcoming launches indicate that the company is focusing on multiple segments rather than concentrating only on conventional SUVs.

The Vision S could attract compact SUV buyers, the BE 07 will strengthen its electric vehicle portfolio, while the Scorpio Lifestyler will target customers interested in lifestyle pickups.

With three new vehicles expected by June 2027 and additional launches planned, the coming months could be significant for Mahindra in the Indian automobile market. Buyers looking for a new SUV, electric vehicle or rugged pickup will have several new options to consider.
