Mohini Ekadashi 2026: Do not do this work even by mistake during the fast of Mohini Ekadashi, otherwise your entire life will be ruined...

Ekadashi Tithi is considered to be of special importance in Hinduism. The rules of Ekadashi begin a day before the Dashami Tithi, i.e. the fast, and they must be followed. So, let's know when will the Mohini Ekadashi fast be observed? The Ekadashi Tithi of the Shukla Paksha of the month of Vaishakh will begin on April 26th at 6:06 pm. This Tithi will last until 6:15 pm on April 27th. Therefore, considering the Udaya Tithi, the Mohini Ekadashi fast will be observed on Monday, April 27th.

Special rules of Ekadashi fasting

The rules of Ekadashi fasting should be followed for three days, from the evening of Dashami (the tenth day of the lunar month) until the breaking of the fast on Dwadashi (the day of the lunar month). Therefore, you should definitely consider these rules:

One should avoid eating food in bronze utensils from Dashami Tithi to Dwadashi i.e. till the breaking of the fast.

Eat sattvik and light food from the evening of Dashami Tithi and do not consume rice in any form.

One should observe celibacy and sleep on the ground if possible.

Without this, the offering of Shri Hari is incomplete.

There is a religious belief that Lord Vishnu does not accept offerings without Tulsi. Therefore, be sure to include Tulsi leaves in the offerings to Lord Vishnu during Ekadashi. To include Tulsi leaves in the offerings to Lord Vishnu, you can pluck them a day in advance, i.e., on Dashami Tithi, before sunset.

Take these precautions:
Avoid pouring water on Tulsi on Ekadashi. According to mythological beliefs, Mother Tulsi observes a waterless fast on the sacred occasion of Ekadashi. Therefore, offering water to her on this day could break her fast. Furthermore, plucking or touching Tulsi on Ekadashi is also considered inauspicious.
