Congress MP Rahul Gandhi told a Pune court that his life is in danger because of his political battles and the lineage of complainant Satyaki Savarkar. His lawyer told the court that the complainant is related to the Godse family and has also received threats from BJP leaders, raising concerns about his safety.

Congress MP Rahul Gandhi's lawyer has expressed concern over his safety. During the hearing in a special court in Pune on the alleged derogatory remarks case on Vinayak Savarkar, Rahul Gandhi's lawyer said that the life of the Congress MP is in danger.

Rahul Gandhi's lawyer Milind Pawar told the court that BJP leader Bittu called him a terrorist while another BJP leader Tarvinder Marwah openly threatened that if Rahul Gandhi does not behave properly then he may face the same fate as his grandmother.

'The complainant is related to the Godse family'

Milind Pawar further said that the complainant Satyaki has family ties with the Savarkar and Godse families and he may misuse his influence. According to the lawyer, the complainant's family ''>'Rahul Gandhi is deliberately delaying the matter'

Savarkar's grandson Satyaki Savarkar said that this application was filed a long time ago, but Rahul Gandhi deliberately delayed the case. Rahul Gandhi's statement is completely irrelevant. The court has already said that Rahul Gandhi's personal presence is not necessary for the hearing of the case, despite this he is delaying the proceedings.
