National Weather Forecast: Torrential rain alert in several states, heavy rain warning in several districts of Rajasthan

Rain continues in many states across the country. The Meteorological Department has issued a heavy rain alert for a dozen and a half districts today. These districts include Rajasthan, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Haryana, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, West Bengal, Odisha, Karnataka, Telangana, Gujarat, and Maharashtra.

Meanwhile, the rainy season has begun once again in Rajasthan. Today, many districts of eastern and southern Rajasthan may witness rain, thundershowers and strong winds. The Meteorological Department has issued a warning of heavy rain today in the capital Jaipur as well as Karauli, Dausa, Bharatpur, Tonk, Pali, Barmer, Sawai Madhopur, Kota, Churu, Dholpur, Udaipur, Chittorgarh and Dungarpur. During this period, gusty winds may blow at a speed of 30 to 40 kilometers per hour.

Southern Rajasthan will be most affected.
According to the Meteorological Department, the districts of southern Rajasthan are likely to experience the most severe weather in the next two to three days. Light to moderate rain is possible in isolated pockets across eastern Rajasthan today and tomorrow.

These districts may receive rain.
Moderate to heavy rain is likely to continue at some places in Udaipur division and surrounding districts. Rain activities can be seen in Ajmer, Alwar, Beawar, Bharatpur, Bhilwara, Dausa, Deeg, Dholpur, Dungarpur, Jaipur, Jhunjhunu, Karauli, Khairthal-Tijara, Kotputli, Behror, Rajsamand, Salumber, Sawai Madhopur, Sikar, Sirohi, Tonk, Udaipur.
