AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi, currently in Algeria as part of an all-party parliamentary delegation, addressed the Indian community and strongly criticized Pakistan. • He led the Algerian resistance against the French invasion starting in 1830, uniting Arab and Berber tribes to mount an effective fight.

• At a young age, he was elected Amir al-Mu'minin (Commander of the Believers), reflecting his religious integrity and leadership.

• Beyond military prowess, he was known for his moral compass—he famously saved the Christian community of Damascus from massacre in 1860, gaining global respect.

• Abdul Qadir remains a symbol of Algerian independence and resistance to colonialism.

Owaisi highlighted Abdul Qadir’s courage and leadership during his visit, drawing inspiration from the historic freedom fighter.
