There's important news for farmers awaiting the 24th installment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana (PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana). Under this scheme, eligible farmers are given ₹6,000 annually. This amount is sent directly to their bank accounts in three installments of ₹2,000. However, to receive the next installment, farmers will need to keep certain important information updated.

In particular, if a farmer's e-KYC is incomplete or their land records are not updated on the portal, their installment may be delayed. The government has made these procedures mandatory to continue receiving benefits. Therefore, farmers should check their status now rather than waiting for the next installment.

When will the 24th installment of PM Kisan come?

Under the PM Kisan Yojana, eligible farmers are given Rs 2,000 every four months. The government released the 22nd installment on March 13, 2026. Now, farmers are awaiting the next installment.

However, the official release date for the 24th installment has not yet been confirmed. Therefore, wait for a government announcement before relying on claims about October or any other date.

These 3 mistakes can delay your ₹2,000 payment

1. e-KYC not completed

If a farmer hasn't completed their e-KYC, they may face problems receiving their next installment. Farmers can complete their e-KYC from home using OTP or face authentication. Alternatively, they can also complete the process biometrically by visiting their nearest Common Service Center (CSC).

2. Land Seeding status should be No

Land seeding involves verifying a farmer's land records on the scheme's portal. If the land information is incomplete or the records do not match, payments may be withheld. Farmers can contact their state's agriculture or revenue department office for this.

3. Mismatch in Aadhaar and bank account details

PM Kisan funds are sent to Aadhaar-linked bank accounts via DBT. Therefore, correct bank account information, Aadhaar seeding, and payment information are essential.

How to check PM Kisan Status online?

Farmers can check the status of the scheme in a few easy steps from their mobile.

First of all go to the official website pmkisan.gov.in .

1. Go to Farmers Corner on the homepage and select Know Your Status option.
2. Enter your registration number.
3. Enter the captcha code displayed on the screen and verify using OTP.
4. After this the beneficiary status will open in front of you.
5. Check information related to e-KYC, Land Seeding, Aadhaar Seeding and payment here.

If No or Pending is shown in front of any option, then contact the concerned department or nearest CSC center and get it corrected.

Note: Failure to complete the required procedures may result in a suspension of installment payments. However, this does not mean that the farmer's name has been permanently removed. Eligible farmers can proceed with the process to reclaim benefits by completing the necessary deficiencies.
