Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana benefits millions of farmers across the country. Farmers receive financial assistance of ₹6,000 annually under this scheme, but people often wonder whether two members of the same family can benefit from this scheme. According to government rules, the PM Kisan Yojana benefits are provided per family, not per individual.
Considered fraudulent:
A family refers to a husband, wife, and their minor children. According to current regulations, if two people (such as a husband and wife) are found to be using the same ration card or receiving benefits from the scheme, the government considers it fraudulent. In such a situation, not only are further installments withheld, but a notice may also be issued for the full amount received so far.
Who can benefit?
The husband, wife, and minor children are considered a single entity for the PM Kisan Yojana. Only one person can apply.
If a family member pays income tax or holds a government job, they cannot benefit from this scheme.
If the land is owned by an organization, trust, or temple, the person cultivating it will not receive the benefit.
