The Department of Social Security and Women and Child Development Punjab has announced a major recruitment drive for Anganwadi Worker and Anganwadi Assistant (Sahayika) posts. A total of 6,110 vacancies will be filled across the state. The most important highlight of this recruitment is that candidates will be selected without any written examination, purely on the basis of merit.
This recruitment offers a significant employment opportunity for women who want to work in government services while staying in their own village or ward.
Total Number of Vacancies
The recruitment includes two categories of posts:

1,316 Anganwadi Worker posts

4,794 Anganwadi Assistant (Sahayika) posts
In total, 6,110 positions will be filled under the scheme.
Educational Qualification
The required qualifications are:

Minimum 10th pass from a recognized board.

For many centers, 12th pass candidates will be given preference.

Some specialized Anganwadi centers may require graduation.

Candidates must have studied Punjabi in 10th class and should be able to read and write the language.

Applicants must be female residents of the same village or ward where they apply.
Age Limit

Maximum Age: 37 years
Reserved categories such as SC/BC will receive age relaxation as per government rules.

When Will the Selection List Be Released?
