The Department of Social Security and Women and Child Development, Punjab has announced a major recruitment drive for Anganwadi Worker and Anganwadi Assistant (Sahayika) posts. A total of 6,110 vacancies have been announced under the recruitment process in Punjab. Women who have passed 10th or 12th class are eligible to apply for these posts. Educational Qualification and Age Limit

Candidates applying for these posts must meet the following requirements:

Educational Qualification

• Minimum qualification: 10th pass from a recognized board

• Some posts may require 12th pass, and certain specialized centres may also prefer graduate candidates

• Applicants must have studied Punjabi at least up to Class 10 and should be able to read and write the language

• The candidate must be a resident of the same village or ward where the Anganwadi centre is located

Age Limit

• Minimum Age: 18 years

• Maximum Age (General Category): 37 years

Candidates belonging to SC/BC and other reserved categories will receive age relaxation according to government rules.

Selection Process (Without Written Exam)

The recruitment process for Anganwadi Worker and Assistant posts will be conducted entirely on a merit basis.

• A merit list will be prepared based on marks obtained in Class 10 and Class 12.

• Candidates who rank in the merit list will be shortlisted.

• Shortlisted candidates will then be called for document verification.

After successful verification, the final selection list will be released.
