As the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) and local body elections approach, political activity is intensifying across Maharashtra. The Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) is making waves with its renewed focus on promoting the Marathi language, a core part of the party’s identity.

At a meeting held on Monday, MNS chief Raj Thackeray issued a clear directive to party workers regarding their conduct on the language issue. “Don’t resort to violence first,” he said. “Explain to people why Marathi is important. But if someone shows arrogance, respond in kind.”

‘Mumbai’s Power Will Come Into Our Hands’

On political alliances, Raj Thackeray touched upon the possibility of unity with Uddhav Thackeray, saying, “If we two brothers can come together after 20 years, why should you quarrel among yourselves?” Urging party workers to focus on preparations rather than infighting, he declared confidently that MNS will capture power in Mumbai this time. “Leave alliance decisions to me,” he added.

Strict Stand on Language, Voter List, and Factionalism

Raj Thackeray emphasized that no one should be harassed without reason, but the importance of Marathi must be upheld firmly. “Teach those willing to learn, but do not tolerate defiance,” he said. He also warned party workers not to make videos of such incidents.

He asked workers to prioritize voter list verification, reconnect with old members, and strengthen ground-level presence ahead of the elections.

A Message to MNS Cadre: Unite and Prepare

Raj issued a stern warning against internal rivalries and factional politics, urging the party to operate as a united force. “Welcome new leaders, shed jealousy, and work together,” he told his team. The meeting signals a strategic and disciplined push by the MNS as it seeks to reassert itself in Mumbai’s political landscape.
