Rajasthan Roadways: Big news for passengers, roadways will run new buses on so many routes in Rajasthan, relief will be provided

Rajasthan Roadways has resumed bus service on rural routes that had been closed for a long time. After receiving improved passenger traffic, preparations are underway to connect approximately 10 more villages in the district to the city.

Jodhpur. The Rajasthan State Road Transport Corporation (Roadways) has resumed bus service on rural routes that had been closed for a long time. With buses running on rural routes, the roadways are receiving the desired passenger load. Consequently, the roadways management has made preparations to connect other villages in the district to the city. The roadways management will prepare a proposal for approximately 10 rural routes and send it to headquarters.

Waiting on three routes now

The roadways management was to begin bus operations on eight routes in the district. After the Chief Minister gave the green light for bus operations across the state, buses began operating on five routes in Jodhpur , while bus operations on three routes are still awaited.

Buses on PPP mode

In accordance with the state government's budget announcement, the Roadways administration is operating buses on a PPP (Public-Private Partnership) model to connect villages lacking roadway services with cities. Roadways buses operating on rural routes are painted saffron. The buses are operated from the roadways bus stand.

Passengers will get concessions

In these buses, passengers will get all the concessional facilities provided by Roadways, which will be paid for by Roadways.

Location of Jodhpur district

  • There are a total of 627 villages in Jodhpur district.
  • Roadways buses are not reaching 439 gram panchayats and panchayat headquarters.
  • Roadways buses operate in only 188 villages

Currently, buses operating on rural routes are receiving expected passenger loads. Now, we will prepare a proposal for bus operations on approximately 10 other rural routes and send it to headquarters.
