Renault Kiger's new variants launched in India, will get a powerful engine, know the price and features

Renault India has expanded the range of variants of its Kiger SUV with the launch of a new Evolution+ variant. This new variant will be available with a naturally aspirated (NA) petrol engine in both manual (MT) and automatic (AMT) options.
Renault Kiger's new variants launched in India
Renault India has expanded its Kiger SUV lineup with the introduction of four new variants. These variants are available with naturally aspirated (NA) and turbo-petrol engine options. The company's aim is to make pricing more affordable for customers and offer more options in the highly competitive sub-4 meter SUV segment.
The company says that the Renault Kiger Turbo's starting ex-showroom price is now just ₹7.89 lakh, making it India's most affordable turbo-petrol-powered subcompact SUV. Additionally, the company has introduced a new Evolution+ variant, priced starting at ₹6.99 lakh. Let's take a closer look at these vehicles.
Variant-wise prices:
For the Turbo Kiger, the ex-showroom prices across India are: ₹7,89,000 for the Evolution+ Manual, ₹8,45,000 for the Techno Manual, ₹9,35,000 for the Techno X-Tronic CVT, and ₹9,35,000 for the Emotion Manual; while the Emotion X-Tronic CVT is priced at ₹10,35,000.
In the naturally aspirated Kiger Energy range, the Authentic manual is priced at ₹5,81,000. The Evolution trim is priced at ₹6,55,000 for the manual and ₹6,99,000 for the Easy-R AMT. The Evolution+ is priced at ₹6,99,000 for the manual and ₹7,45,000 for the AMT. The Techno variant is priced at ₹7,55,000 for the manual and ₹8,05,000 for the AMT, while the top-end Emotion is available only with a manual gearbox for ₹8,45,000.
Engine and gearbox
The Renault Kiger's 1.0-liter naturally aspirated (NA) petrol engine produces 72 bhp and 96 Nm of torque, and comes with a choice of a 5-speed manual or AMT. The more powerful 1.0-liter turbo-petrol engine produces 100 bhp; its torque output is 152 Nm in the manual version and 160 Nm with the CVT.
The company claims that the turbo-petrol Kiger has one of the best torque-to-weight ratios in its segment. Customers can choose between a 5-speed manual or X-Tronic CVT automatic gearbox.
