₹7.59 Lakh SUV with 5-Star Safety Gains Popularity, Becomes a Top Choice

Skoda’s presence in the Indian automobile market continues to grow, and its latest sales figures for March 2026 highlight this upward trend. The Skoda Kylaq has emerged as the brand’s best-selling model for the month, attracting strong customer interest.
The Kylaq recorded sales of 4,670 units in March. Although this marks a 12 percent decline compared to 5,327 units sold in March 2025, it still secured the top position among Skoda’s lineup.
Other Models Performance
The Skoda Kushaq ranked second with 2,307 units sold, registering an impressive 157 percent year-on-year growth. The Skoda Slavia followed in third place with 887 units, witnessing a 25 percent decline. Meanwhile, the Skoda Kodiaq stood fourth with 64 units sold but showed a remarkable 393 percent growth compared to last year.
Design and Features of Skoda Kylaq
The Kylaq stands out with its premium design and modern styling. It comes equipped with LED headlights, DRLs, LED turn indicators, body-colored ORVMs and door handles, 16-inch steel wheels, and a blacked-out B-pillar. The starting price is ₹7.59 lakh (ex-showroom), making it an attractive option in its segment.
Interior and Comfort
Inside the cabin, the SUV focuses on comfort and practicality. Key features include a height-adjustable driver’s seat, tilt and telescopic steering, adjustable headrests, a clear instrument cluster, and manual air conditioning.
Safety and Performance
One of the biggest highlights of the Kylaq is its 5-star safety rating, positioning it as a strong contender for safety-conscious buyers. It is powered by a 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder turbo petrol engine producing 114 bhp and 178 Nm of torque, paired with either a 6-speed manual or automatic transmission.
Competition in the Segment
The Kylaq competes with popular compact SUVs such as Tata Nexon, Maruti Brezza, Kia Sonet, and Mahindra XUV 3XO, making the segment highly competitive.
