A young woman from Chhatarpur district in Madhya Pradesh has accused a close aide of Baba Bageshwar Dhirendra Shastri of raping her under the false promise of marriage. Despite the matter being highlighted for several days, the accused remains absconding while police continue their search.

The incident falls under the jurisdiction of the Civil Lines police station. According to reports, the accused, Mahendra Dubey, is known to be closely associated with Dhirendra Krishna Shastri. Multiple photographs of Dubey with the spiritual leader have also surfaced online. The victim stated that she first met Dubey during a trip, after which he allegedly built a close relationship with her and promised to introduce her to Dhirendra Shastri.

The woman claimed that their meetings soon became intimate. She alleged that Dubey assured her of marriage while maintaining physical relations with her. Later, she discovered that Dubey was already married, a fact he had hidden from her. Following this revelation, she lodged a complaint at the Civil Lines police station.

Search efforts underway

The case has been circulating widely on social media, with the victim consistently demanding strong action and the arrest of the accused. ASP Aditya Patle confirmed that an FIR has been registered under Section 376 of the IPC on charges of rape, and the accused is being searched for.

The woman also alleged that unidentified individuals assaulted her and snatched her mobile phone. Police stated that if she files a formal complaint regarding this incident, a separate case will be registered.
