A tragic incident took place in Faridabad, Haryana, where a young man named Akash, who had a love marriage seven months ago, committed suicide by hanging himself at his home. The incident has shocked the local community.

Akash’s father, Bajrangi Lal, has accused Akash’s in-laws of harassing him and forcing him into this extreme step. The accused include Akash’s mother-in-law Santosh, father-in-law Mahipal, sister-in-law China Dolly, brother-in-law Dhruv, and around 10 others.

According to Bajrangi Lal, after Akash’s marriage to Preeti on November 12, 2024, the in-laws were unhappy with the union. In January 2025, an incident occurred where Akash, along with his maid and some friends, went to Preeti’s house after learning that she was forcibly taken away by her father and brother. At Preeti’s home, Akash and others were locked in a room and physically assaulted by the in-laws. Preeti was also locked in a separate room, and the maid was beaten.

Akash returned home after the assault and shared the ordeal with his family. On June 2, Akash was found dead, hanging from a fan hook at his home. The maid discovered the body and informed the family, who then reported the matter to the police.

The police conducted a postmortem and are investigating the case. No arrests have been made yet, but the authorities are actively pursuing the matter.
