Sunny Deol, fresh from the third schedule of Border 2 shooting in Pune alongside Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh, and Ahan Shetty, has confirmed he will play Hanuman in the upcoming epic Ramayana, starring Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram.

• Excited and Nervous: Sunny shared in an interview with Zoom that he is both thrilled and a bit nervous about portraying the iconic Hanuman. He called the opportunity “very special” and praised the film’s cast.

• Next Project: After completing Border 2, Sunny will soon start shooting for Ramayana, directed by Nitesh Tiwari and produced by Yash Raj Films (Yash and Namit).

• Star Cast: Ranbir Kapoor plays Ram, Sai Pallavi is Sita, and Yash plays Ravana. The first part is slated for Diwali 2026, with Part 2 expected in 2027.

Sunny expressed admiration for working with Ranbir, calling him a dedicated and talented actor who gives his best in every project.
