Prime Minister Narendra Modi, addressing a massive public gathering in Karakat, Bihar on Friday, declared that the government has fulfilled its promise to avenge the recent terrorist attack in Pahalgam, asserting that those behind the attack have been “crushed to dust.” The address came as he inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of development projects worth over ₹48,520 crore.
Standing on the soil of Bihar, PM Modi linked his development agenda with a firm national security message. “Today, I have the privilege of giving fresh momentum to the development of Bihar. Projects worth more than ₹50,000 crore have been launched or begun from here,” he said.
The Prime Minister paid special tribute to the large presence of women in the crowd. “The arrival of so many mothers and sisters here is the most spectacular moment of all my Bihar programs. My heartfelt respect and gratitude to all of you,” he added.
"Promise Made, Promise Kept": Modi on Pahalgam Terror Attack
Referring to the deadly terror attack in Pahalgam that claimed innocent lives, PM Modi reminded the public of his vow made in Bihar right after the incident. “I had promised that the masterminds and hideouts of terror would be reduced to rubble. I return to Bihar today having fulfilled that resolve. The sanctity of our sisters, desecrated by cowards hiding in Pakistan, has been avenged — their bases are now in ruins.”
Operation Sindoor: “The World Witnessed India’s Might”
Speaking about Operation Sindoor, PM Modi said the mission showcased the power of India's daughters and the country’s resolve. “The terrorists, hiding under Pakistan’s military protection, thought they were safe. But our forces brought them to their knees in minutes. We destroyed Pakistani airbases and military installations swiftly and decisively. This is the new India — bold, brave, and unforgiving to enemies.”
He lauded the role of the Border Security Force (BSF), highlighting their courage in the operation. “The world has seen the unmatched bravery of our BSF. On May 10, BSF Sub-Inspector Imtiaz from Bihar was martyred at the border. I pay heartfelt tribute to this son of Bihar,” he said, warning that Operation Sindoor was “just one arrow in India’s quiver.”
